Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Balazs Megyeri ("we", "us"), the operator of Track2Drive. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
- Track2Drive is a free web app for tracking car maintenance, documents and running costs.
- We may add, change or remove features over time.
- The service is free today. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll tell you in advance, and you'll never be charged without explicitly agreeing to it.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give a valid email address.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at hello@track2drive.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One person per account. Don't create accounts by automated means.
3. Estimates are guidance, not professional advice
- Maintenance intervals: Track2Drive's intervals, reminders, health percentages and cost estimates are general estimates. They're based on typical values, your settings and the data you enter.
- Always check against: your vehicle manufacturer's service schedule and owner's manual; the condition of your car; the advice of a qualified mechanic.
- Cost estimates are approximate. Real prices vary by car, workshop and region.
- We're not responsible for decisions you make based on the app. That includes maintenance that was skipped, done too early or too late, and damage, costs or safety issues that follow.
- Legal deadlines are your responsibility. Expiry dates for documents such as insurance, road tax or inspection (ITV) are only as accurate as what you enter. Keep track of official deadlines yourself too.
- DIY maintenance is at your own risk. If you do your own maintenance, follow proper safety practices.
4. Your content
- The data and files you add remain yours.
- You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy policy.
- Only upload content you have the right to upload.
- Don't upload anything unlawful, or anything containing other people's personal data beyond what's needed (for example on receipts).
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- misuse the service, or try to access other users' data;
- probe, disrupt or overload our systems;
- get around security measures;
- use the service or the contact form to send spam;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or close accounts that do.
6. Availability
- We aim to keep Track2Drive available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
- Keep your own copy of important records. The export in Settings makes this easy.
7. Liability
- What Track2Drive is: an information and record-keeping tool. It never inspects your car and can't know the real condition of its parts. You stay responsible for maintaining your vehicle and keeping it roadworthy.
- What we're not liable for: to the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for damage, loss or injury arising from: the condition of your vehicle or its parts; maintenance that was done, skipped or delayed; relying on estimates or reminders, or on the absence of a reminder (see section 3); data you entered incorrectly.
- Other losses: because the service is free, we're also not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, to the extent permitted by law.
- What we can't exclude: nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be excluded or limited, for example liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
- Your consumer rights: if you're a consumer, nothing in these terms affects the mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
8. Ending the agreement
- You can stop using Track2Drive and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). This permanently deletes your data.
- We may end the service or your account with reasonable notice, or immediately in cases of serious misuse. If we shut down the service, we'll give you time to export your data.
9. Changes to these terms
- We may update these terms, for example when features change.
- For significant changes we'll tell you in advance by email or in the app.
- If you keep using Track2Drive after the change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
10. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by Spanish law.
- If you're a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim before the courts where you live.
- Please contact us first at hello@track2drive.com. Most problems can be solved quickly.
